Abstract Nearly all discussions about attaching linear inequality constraints are based on parameter adjustment. This paper proposes an approach to solve condition adjustment models with linear inequality constraints. The main idea includes taking constraints on the Lagrange multiplier according to the K-T theory, calculating the multiplier through an iterative algorithm, and then obtaining the optimum solution of the unknown parameters. The feasibility of this method is illustrated in an example.
